Minimum Qualifications Reachable on current Civil Service list for this title; one year of permanent, competitive class service as a Senior Auditor or Senior Internal Auditor; or one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title approved for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Examples of eligible titles include: Data Processing Fiscal System Auditor 1, Senior Accountant, Senior Budgeting Analyst, State Program Examiner 1, Tax Auditor 1. Please note, to be eligible for appointment to this position you may also need to provide proof of the additional special requirement of 24 credit hours in accounting, auditing and/or taxation coursework.

Duties Description Under the direction of an Associate Internal Auditor, Audit Manager, or Audit Director, the incumbent will be responsible for contributing to a unit that conducts financial, operational, compliance and performance audits and reviews from initial entrance conference through final reporting. The incumbent will also provide value added consultative services on an as needed basis. Audits and reviews will involve financial, programmatic and administrative areas. Approximately 10% travel is required to visit each of the State Insurance Fund's Business Offices, as needed, to perform audit procedures.
