REASSIGNMENT QUALIFICATIONS: An employee with one year permanent or contingent permanent service as an Unemployment Insurance Accounts Examiner, Grade 13, is eligible for reassignment to any location were a vacancy exists in the title.
An employee with less than one year permanent competitive service is eligible for reassignment to a different geographic location only if the employee is reachable for appointment in the new location.
70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: An employee with one year permanent competitive service in certain positions allocated to Grade 11 or higher, supplemented by six (6) semester credit hours* in accounting or statistics (or combination) may be eligible for transfer pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
*From a regionally accredited college or university, or one recognized by the New York State Education Department as following acceptable education practices.
70.4 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: An employee with one year permanent competitive service in a position allocated to Grade 11 or higher, who has taken and passed the Unemployment Insurance Accounts Examiner examination may be eligible for transfer pursuant to section 70.4 of the Civil service Law.
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: As an Unemployment Insurance Accounts Examiner, under the supervision of a Senior Unemployment Insurance Accounts Examiner, you would engage in a variety of accounting activities, adjust employers’ accounts and answer employers’ inquiries regarding overpayment, underpayment, and contribution rates assigned. You would determine the status of employers’ accounts based on provision of the Unemployment Insurance Law, Department of Labor policy and procedures, and the various aspects of contribution accounts and experience rating systems.
