Salary RangeFrom $71847 to $90876 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Must have a master of psychology degree from a regionally accredited college or university which prepares graduates for master’s level psychologist positions in clinical, forensic, or community mental health settings; AND the degree program must have included a clinical psychology practicum, externship, or clinical fieldwork.
Minimum qualifications for taking the promotional examination: Qualified employee of New York Sate and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55b/55c service as Psychologist 1 or as a Psychologist 1 (Spanish Language). Must also have a master's degree in psychology.
Duties Description The Psychologist will assist with addressing the needs of individuals who have intellectual and adaptive deficits. Duties include conducting group and individual sessions, report writing, and evaluating intellectual functioning through the use of various assessment tools (WAIS-IV, C-TONI, Etc.).
Additional Comments Provisional candidates must apply and take Psychologist 2 examination. Deadline for application is December 6, 2017. Examination is tentatively scheduled for January 20, 2018.
