Minimum Qualifications
Reachable for appointment on the Civil Service eligible list
OR
One year of permanent competitive service as a Secretary 2 or eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service law.
Duties Description Manage office, monitor and track status of office activities.
Develop, maintain and update office procedure manuals. Organize the flow of paper in the office.
Review incoming correspondence and draft responses where appropriate.
Review outgoing correspondence for grammar, spelling, etc.
Take the lead with other paraprofessional staff as necessary on assignments and conduct follow-up.
Handle telephone calls and visitors and respond to questions. Coordinate and arrange meetings.
Design office filing systems (including electronic).
Resolve day-to-day operational problems.
Coordinate information flow by acting as liaison among key executives, staff, other employees, and the public.
