Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as a Program Aide, G-13; OR in a title at Grade 11 or above that is eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Project Director of Business Solutions, the Program Aide will perform duties including, but not limited to the following:
• Assist with budgetary processes; monitor program and fiscal operations to ensure that assigned budgets are executed in accordance with approved plans and administrative budgetary guidelines;
• Work directly with vendors obtaining quotes as needed for equipment maintenance renewals and for new equipment purchases;
• Assist with Human Resource related matters: submit staffing requests into SharePoint and prepare organizational charts;
• Review posting submissions to verify all required information is provided;
• Schedule interviews for open positions, often involving multiple interviewers. Communicate all necessary information to the candidate for the interview (e.g., location of interview, directions, what they need to bring with them, provide duties description if requested, etc.);
• Prepare hiring packages, ensuring all required documentation and information is included;
• Track equipment maintenance renewals for Cluster by keeping track of maintenance begin and end dates, which may entail reaching out to various staff to verify the renewal needs to be done;
• Maintain User ID and System Access Request Forms for secure access to applications for Cluster staff.
