Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The Program Aide will perform general activities in support of the Personnel Bureau as assigned, including, but not limited to:
• Process transactions for employee appointments, promotions, terminations, leaves and any other personnel or health insurance transactions as required.
• Review transaction requests to ensure that the request is appropriate and complete.
• Prepare transaction requests and obtain Preferred List Clearance Codes for appointments.
• Resolve certification issues along with any issues regarding transaction requests.
• Manage the use and maintenance of Departmental, Interdepartmental, Open Competitive and Transition Lists through software system used in Personnel - ELMS.
• Confer with Personnel Administrators, Payroll Unit, Civil Service Status Examiners as required.
• Provide assistance to Office Managers as well as Personnel Administrators, creating reports, gathering and tracking various information.
• Additional assignments as required.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
