Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in intelligence analysis, homeland security, counter terrorism, emergency preparedness analysis and assessment, or investigations. A master’s degree may substitute for one year of the experience.

Duties Description The incumbent of this position will report to the Office of Counter Terrorism's Cyber Incident Response Team. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Provide analytical, organizational, and communication support to the cybersecurity statewide shared service programs administered by NYS DHSES.
• Manage workflows associated with all statewide shared service agreements across state and local agencies
• Establish, maintain, and mature customer contact, inventory and communication lists and develop groupings to efficiently disseminate targeted distributions.
• Conduct analysis and generate reports on cybersecurity statewide shared service offerings
• Facilitate the implementation and operation of DHSES cyber initiatives and assist in the coordination and operational support of targeted program activities.
• Organize, coordinate, facilitate and participate in cyber security and statewide shared service-related meetings, work groups, training, and tabletop exercises for diverse stakeholder populations.
• Prepare correspondence, briefings, reports, presentations, standards, bulletins, advisories, and other written materials as needed, including content for CIRT web pages.
• Assist clients in understanding cyber shared service offerings and ways in which clients may utilize them to improve their cybersecurity/security posture.
• Assist unit supervisors in documenting new policies and procedures including scheduling periodic review of policies and procedures.
• Develop and utilize research methodology techniques to evaluate cyber topics in areas where precedents are lacking, or a sparse body of knowledge or experience exists
• Collaborate with members of the DHSES CIRT Team and external agencies, and experts in the cyber security community to identify and remain current in industry standard cyber best practices.
• Approximately 10% travel is required.

NOTE: Support of operations during times of emergency and disaster from State Emergency Operations Center (EOC), state field offices and/or local deployments may be required, which would result in a change and/or increase in working hours, locations and/or duties.
