Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field. At least five years of experience, including three years of experience in office management, budget, or human resources. Exceptional MS Office skills. Knowledge in NY State finance and procurement guidelines is preferred.

Duties Description The NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (“Commission”) seeks a Deputy Director of Administration, to joint its Administration Division. Under the direction of Executive staff and Director of Administration, the Deputy Director of Administration will:

•Supervise administrative staff, under the management of the Director;
•Assist in performing Human Resource functions;
•Assist in all budget preparations and implementation activities, including preparation of budget requests and cash plans, preparation of expenditures forecasts and reports, compiling and maintaining annual statistical reports for budget forecasting and preparation of revenue reports;
•Assist Executive staff to prepare, edit, update and proofread written office policies and procedures;
•Assist in the financial management of the Commission’s offices, including gathering information and preparing documents for agency contract procurements, requests for proposals/applications and sole/single source procurement;
•Design, create and maintain files;
•Interface with the Statewide Financial System as necessary to conduct authorized fiscal transactions.

The Deputy Director of Administration is entrusted with sensitive information and material, the confidentiality of which must be scrupulously maintained.
