Salary RangeFrom $70000 to $85000 Annually
Minimum Qualifications A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of professional relevant experience in scheduling for a high-level principal, such as a Member of Congress or State or Local Elected Official. Other relevant administrative, operations, or scheduling experience is strongly preferred. Understanding of New York State government and experience working in government or political campaigns is preferred.
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• Possession of sophisticated and sound judgement.
• Ability to multitask and be detail oriented and able to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Duties Description The Office of Governor Kathy Hochul is seeking an experienced Scheduler to join a fast paced and dynamic team with the NYS Executive Chamber. As a member of the Executive Team, Schedulers play a key role in managing and participating in activities in relation to the Governor’s schedule, and will work closely with internal colleagues to ensure excellent execution of events.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare final schedule document for the Governor and staff.
• Assist the Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy Directors of Scheduling in organizing and scheduling travel, appointments, special events, meetings, and all other internal and external activities for the Governor as authorized.
• Respond to a large volume of incoming meeting and scheduling requests in a timely fashion.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal staff about Governor’s schedule and movements.
• Communicate key information and scheduling changes to the Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy Directors of Scheduling, staff, and affected stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and demonstrates ethical judgement in conducting business on behalf of the Office of the Governor.
