Minimum Qualifications:

There are no education or experience qualifications or requirements for this position. Candidates must have the physical ability to perform work consisting of light or medium to heavy physical labor. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated. This position is not tenure-bearing.

Duties Description Position Information:

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has several exciting opportunities to work at the Great New York State Fair! We are looking for temporary State Fair Workers to join the Maintenance Department and help prepare for the 2024 State Fair. As a State Fair Worker, you will perform various manual tasks throughout the fairgrounds that support State Fair operations from May 2024 to September 2024. Your duties may involve light, medium, or heavy physical labor related to maintenance, grounds, labor, parking services, custodial duties, and/or operating motor vehicles and equipment. If you are required to operate motor vehicles, you must hold a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type.

Our available positions are at the New York State Fairgrounds at 581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse, NY. We provide a comfortable working environment with ample free parking.
