Minimum Qualifications • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or a two-year degree and two years of customer service work experience.
• Previous experience working in a customer-focused environment or political campaign, and bilingual proficiency, a plus.
Duties Description The duties and responsibilities of the Candidate Services Liaison, as assigned by and through the Public Campaign Finance Unit Co-Directors, are as follows:
• Serve as a liaison between the Public Campaign Finance Unit and participating candidates running for Statewide or State Legislative Offices in New York State.
• Monitor and assist participating campaigns in preparing campaign finance disclosure reports, as well as any related forms and filings.
• Assist participating candidates in the process of qualifying for public matching funds.
• Work internally to answer candidate and campaign questions promptly and accurately.
• Refer and calendar requests for information and/or advisory opinions to ensure prompt, accurate responses are provided to a campaign.
• As may be requested, and in cooperation with the Training Unit, assist with the preparation of training and guidance materials on eligibility, monetary thresholds, eligible expenses, the payment process, recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
• Provide general technical support to candidates and campaigns regarding the PCF software.
• Test updates to the PCF software as may be requested.
• Prepare appropriate reports and maintain statistics pertaining to candidate and campaign assistance.
• Assist on all tasks and matters as may be reasonably assigned by and through the Co-Directors.
Essential Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach to answering questions and solving problems.
• Proficient computer and internet skills with a willingness to learn new software.
