Duties Description Job Description:
The State University of New York (SUNY) System Administration, located in Albany, New York, seeks a Director of Policy Implementation and Strategic Initiatives in the Chancellor's Office. The director will support the Associate Vice Chancellor for Policy Implementation leading strategic initiatives to support the mission of the State University of New York through project management, development of policies and procedures, and research and analysis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage the Implementation of Strategic Initiatives by leading project management endeavors for the Chancellor's office to ensure on-time, successful completion across all system offices;
Assist the Associate Vice Chancellors for Policy Implementation in research and policy development, data analysis, briefing materials and written work products;
Lead Project Management Activities for strategic initiatives aligned to SUNY's four priority pillars: student success; research and scholarship; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and economic development and upward mobility;
Liaise with the SUNY Research Foundation on grants and contracts, including meeting all state and federal reporting requirements;
Liaise with the government relations office in regard to federal and state bills, advocacy campaigns, and pressing issues, Identify looming policy hurdles;
Develop/Manage Relationships with External Partners (advocates, industry, other academic, workforce partnerships);
Other Related Duties as Assigned

Additional Comments Additional Information:
Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications. The range for this position is $110,000-$130,000.
