Minimum Qualifications Five years experience in SQL and application development using C#, with two years experience in .Net
The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
? Associate’s degree and four years of experience
? Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and three years of experience
? Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience
? Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and two years of experience
? Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
Duties Description Under the direction of Manager Information Technology Services 1, SG-27, within the Chief Technology Office – Business Application Services – Labor Workforce Education Portfolio supporting the Workers Compensation Bureau (WCB) , the Project Assistant, SG-NS, will be responsible for overseeing staff, participating in the design, development, testing, implementation of .Net applications. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform application developments of the interface and service components that utilize some of the programming languages and skills/technologies, such as C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, Azure platform, NodeJS, GIT, and database and content management systems.
- Analyze of existing processes and documenting the requirements that are related to a specific business objective.
- Create functional specs that are based on the business requirements and contain the details of end-user expectations of the functionality of the product.
- Evaluate the requirements of information systems and designing such systems by applying analysis and design techniques.
- Prepare documentation for all application changes.
- Work with version control systems, development of detailed unit test and system test plans to ascertain the new system adheres to the business rules.
- Remediation of any bugs or problems found in testing.
- Development of post-production support plans; and on-going maintenance and support of the application.
- Performing all supervisory responsibilities and ability to mentor and facilitate the personal growth of subordinates.
Additional Comments Salary: To be determined, commensurate with experience.
