Minimum Qualifications Five years experience in Object Oriented Programming AND SQL, including two years experience in PowerBuilder Programming
The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
- Associate’s degree and four years of experience
- Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and three years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and two years of experience
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
Duties Description Under the direction of Information Technology Specialist 4, SG-25, within the Chief Technology Office – Business Application Services – Labor Workforce Education Portfolio supporting the Workers Compensation Bureau (WCB), the Project Assistant, SG-NS, will be responsible for supporting incidents, and enhancements to the Insurance Compliance System (IC2) application systems as well supporting development for the WCB Legacy Renewal Program and related projects. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Triage and resolve production issues and analyzing system enhancement requests.
- Perform system analysis and developing system specifications.
- Coordinate and assigning tasks to various developers and shared services teams.
- Develop and be proficient in various technologies and products, such as: PowerBuilder, C#/.Net, and Sybase.
- Ensure staff are trained and create products that meet ITS and Portfolio standards and policies.
- Analyze the impact of project demand as they pertain to this information systems and prepares formal resource/cost estimates.
- Performing all supervisory responsibilities and ability to mentor and facilitate the personal growth of subordinates.
