Minimum Qualifications Excellent writing & copy-editing skills for content & adaptability for both digital and print platforms; strong time management skills; Ability to work tight deadlines & can prioritize multiple tasks; Collaborative team player who takes & gives feedback constructively; ability to develop, nurture and manage professional working relationships respectfully and positively in a small but dynamic work environment; Ability to work with basic computer applications, Google platforms and Canva; Ability to work in the office and travel within the district and NYC; Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of causes important to the Assembly Member.
Duties Description Develop communications strategy; Field press inquiries and interviews and assist with development of talking points; Write constituent newsletters and office mailers; Manage press conferences & announcements; Maintain & update the media list, cultivate relationships with reporters and pitch stories to reporters; Draft statements, quotes, op-eds, media advisories and press releases; Create graphics for social media platforms;
Maintain the Assembly Member's calendar and schedule meetings; Staff the Assembly Member at various events and stay up to date on current events within the district.
