Minimum Qualifications • Three years of experience working with labor and management representatives.

• Good communication skills and commitment to providing high-quality customer service.

• Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work well with minimal supervision and as a team member.

• A satisfactory equivalent combination of appropriate experience and education as determined by the NYS Office of Employee Relations.

Duties Description The Employee Program Assistant serves as a Field Associate for CSEA Long Island Region 1 and CSEA Metropolitan Region 2.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Promote Partnership programs and services to CSEA leaders and management representatives in Regions 1 and 2 through site visits, informational events, membership meetings, benefit fairs, regional, and statewide conferences.

• Assist CSEA leaders and NYS managers in assessing training needs using Partnership designed protocols and materials.

• Advise and assist CSEA and NYS managers in the QWL grant process and record applications.

• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all equipment purchased and placed through the QWL grants program.

• Assist with logistics, delivery, and follow-up activities for Partnership training events in the field.

• Assist with Partnership marketing, research, course, and program audits.

• Provide field information to Partnership managers and Program Associates.

• Monitor personnel changes and maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of key CSEA leaders and NYS managers at state CSEA work locations in Regions 1 and 2.

• Perform other field operations and administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Maintain weekly contact, and submit monthly reports, to Field Staff Supervisor. Notify supervisor of issues from CSEA and management representatives regarding Partnership programs, services, or policies.

• Serve as co-leader for the assigned Partnership Regional Outreach Team.

Additional Comments Work Hours: 37 ½ hours per week, Monday through Friday. Daily schedule will be arranged with supervisor. Occasional evening and weekend hours required. Regular travel throughout the assigned CSEA Regions, as well as some travel to other areas of the State is required.

Location: The Field Associate position will be in a State office building in either CSEA Region 1 or 2, based on availability and proximity to selected candidate’s home address. Potential locations include Hauppauge, Manhattan, or Brooklyn.
