Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience* in a cannabis, industrial hemp, medical marijuana, agricultural, environmental, public health, public safety, or economic development analyst position where primary responsibilities were policy or programmatic quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and/or communications.

*Substitution: Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, agriculture science, horticulture, plant sciences, data analytics, urban studies, communications, public health, public safety, or a related field may substitute for four years of the non-supervisory experience. Master’s degree in the same fields as Bachelor’s may substitute for an additional year of the non-supervisory experience.

Duties Description Reporting to the Program Analyst 2, this role will assist with the administration of grants issued by the Office of Cannabis Management, reviewing and processing grant applications, requests for reimbursement from awardees and reporting.

Specific responsibilities for this position include:

• Assist the OGS agency procurement office and internal OCM teams on the Request For Application (RFA) process to develop
• application criteria and processes.
• Conduct application reviews using the electronic application system.
• Compiles economic information needed for program management; identifies trends and common roadblocks for grant recipients to be successful.
• Evaluates quality control and quality assurance procedures for deviations or deficiencies in policy and regulatory compliance.
• After contract approvals, review claims submitted electronically by awardees for reimbursement and payments to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines and contract terms for each grant program.
• Organize, track, and process documentation and claims for reimbursement submitted by grant awardees in the electronic grants management system, drafting reports for OCM management on grant progress.
• Maintains up-to-date spreadsheets and analytic systems to ensure accurate and timely information is readily available.
• Communicate with grant awardees to resolve questions related to the submission of reports and claims for reimbursement, including obtaining additional supporting documentation as needed, and encouraging submission of claims for reimbursement and proposals, as directed by grant timeline.
• Support special projects and initiatives for OCM grant programs.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Director or other OCM leadership.
