Minimum Qualifications This title is non-competitive. No examination is necessary. However, you must still meet the Minimum Qualifications of the position.

Non-competitive: six years of experience* in equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, or human rights.

*Qualifying experience includes working with organizations concerned with equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, civil rights, minority business development, or similar programs; or in recruiting, training, and upgrading the educational and job qualifications of protected class members.

Substitutions: Associate degree may substitute for two years of experience; bachelor’s degree for four years; and J.D. or master’s degree for five years.

Duties Description • Collect data regarding program areas’ capacity to accomplish Title VI, EJ, LEP and ADA goals and
compliance.

• Collect and analyze employment information data of the businesses doing work with NYSDOT.

• Coordinates the implementation of diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunity initiatives.

• Assist with disseminating agency goals and objectives to agency executives; and advises agency
management on diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunity matters.

• Analyzes data and produces reports related to diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunity programs.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the
department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
