Minimum Qualifications No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.
Duties Description Under the supervision of the Park Manager or their designee, the incumbent will perform or assist with routine cleaning and housekeeping work including, but not limited to:
• Clean facility buildings, cabins, cottages, and other facilities and structures as assigned.
• Sweeping/vacuuming/mopping floors, window washing, trash and recycling removal, and dusting.
• Interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• May be required to assist other operational departments as assigned, including Rental Office assignments, basic maintenance work (such as painting projects), or assisting with groundskeeping duties.
• Communicate effectively with other staff and park patrons in a responsible and courteous manner under stressful conditions.
• Work effectively in a team setting and demonstrate flexibility in tasks and schedules.
• May handle complaints or inquiries from park patrons and refer them to appropriate staff.
• Adhere to the agency’s Code of Conduct Policy and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures in the performance of daily tasks.
Additional Comments OPERATING NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be available to work a variable schedule that will include seasonal pass day changes, holidays and/or weekends.
