Salary RangeFrom $51857 to $63169 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Permanent Transfer Candidates: Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as an Administrative Aide (G-13), Agency Program Aide (G-13) or Program Aide (G-13); or one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title allocated to G-11 or above eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Under the general supervision of a Health Program Administrator, this position is responsible for support for the Case Information Administration Unit. Additionally, other duties to include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Process and perform quality check on complaints received from the Central Intake Unit and assist in correcting any issues.
2. Review and process investigations closed administratively, verifying that the information is correct and if not, addressing any issues.
3. Process requests to change information in the case management system, including transfer of investigations, subject name changes, redetermining complaints and reopening investigations.
4. Record and maintain investigative committee (IC) and Non-IC memos into File and Materials Tracking, ensuring receipt and processing of complete case files for all IC and Non-IC dispositions.
5. Review and understand DOH policies and regulatory requirements to assist in drafting policies and procedures, as well as, take steps to ensure continued compliance with established timelines for records retention, maintaining records, purging old cases, and assigning cases by priority.
6. Review and understand program policies and procedures related to the filing of investigative closures, medical records, and quality assurance files and assist with drafting of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regard to policies and record retention requirements. Oversee the application by administrative support staff.
7. Ensure proper retention and purging of files is occurring along with proper maintenance of database and/or file information related to the activity.
8. Be a liaison for the CIA unit with other OPMC program directors with regard to timely disposition and receipt of investigative files for the gathering, review, and evaluation information related to required statistical data for program.
9. Comply with the policies and procedures in the CIA Procedure Manual, OPMC policies and procedures, and the Manual of Investigative Operations.
10. Ensure that confidentiality is safeguarded and that case files are accurately accounted for.
11. Interact with department heads and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
12. Assist with training of file room staff as requested.
Additional Comments The jurisdictional class (JC) of the position will be contingent upon the appointment mechanism.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
