Minimum Qualifications A professional degree in landscape architecture, land use planning, environmental studies, civil engineering or similar environmental field with at least four years of documented experience in either site design and construction, land use planning, environmental permitting, or environmental impact assessment is preferred. Prior experience working for or with state or federal governments is desirable.
Duties Description Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Deputy Director of Regulatory Programs supervises and manages the Regulatory Programs Division. The position includes but is not limited to being responsible for the leadership and management of the Division, including budget and personnel matters. Reviews and signs permits, orders, variances, notices of completion and incompletion, and non-jurisdictional determinations per Regulations and Delegation Resolution. Acts as liaison for Agency with local, regional, State and federal agencies and Agency Board members on regulatory program matters. Oversees development of guidelines relating to project review matters and makes recommendations for regulatory changes. This position acts in the absence of the Executive Director pursuant to the Agency’s Delegation Resolution.
