Duties Description DUTIES DESCRIPTION:
• Develops or uses pre-existing project management plans and documents to coordinate and support the activities of a project team.
• Participates in reviewing project proposals or plans to define scope statements, and documents project requirements.
• Determines project start and end dates and establishes critical milestones within the project
Schedule.
• Records and reports schedule progress and project expenditures.
• Records quality metrics concerning the project as well as product performance.
• Compiles project reports and communicates project status.
• Interacts with project stakeholders and coordinates the activities of the project team to ensure
that the project objectives are met.
• Leads or facilitates project meetings.
• Designs, develops and/or refines templates to support project management team.
• Plans and conducts project analysis sessions, such as project close-outs and Joint Application
Design (JAD) sessions
• Participates in the development of requests for proposals (RFP’s).
• Trains agency staff in basic project management processes and tools.
• Prepares project portfolio or status reporting.
• Organizes and maintains a project management library/project tools repository through Microsoft SharePoint.
• Assists higher level Project Manager or program area director on more complex projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
Seven years of project management experience which must include planning and at least one of the other management process groups: Initiating, Executing, Controlling, or Closing. This experience must include the development of significant project management deliverables such as scope statements, schedules, budgets, quality plans, risk plans, and communication plans AND completion of twenty-one contact hours of project management training within the last six years;

An Associate's Degree and six years of the required experience as described above and completion of twenty-one contact hours of project management training within the last six years;
< OR >
A Bachelor’s degree and four years of the required experience as described above and completion of twenty-one contact hours of project management training within the last six years;
< OR >
A Master’s degree in project management and three years required experience as described above and completion of twenty-one contact hours of project management training within the last six years;
< OR >
A current certification from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and one year of post certification required experience as described above.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years’ experience managing medium to large scale Information Technology projects.
Additional Comments NOTE: HESC’s business hours require working between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
