Workday
Duties Description Under the direction of the Park Manager overseeing maintenance and operations at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park, the Park and Rec Aide 5 – Park Office Supervisor will:
• Assist in preparing daily/weekly attendance & revenue reports, expenditure records, employee paperwork, and special event permits.
• Complete assigned weekly and/or monthly reports
• Prepare and complete monthly procurement reports.
• Complete monthly vehicle usage using sheets and reports.
• Interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in the training of seasonal staff with respect to departmental tasks.
• May be required to assist other operational departments as assigned, which may include, but not be limited to
o Entrance fees at toll booths,
o Assisting with basic maintenance work such as painting projects,
o Or assisting with grounds work.
Minimum Qualifications NO MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS TITLE PER CIVIL SERVICE.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or AS/BS in Business Management.
• Background in bookkeeping or secretarial management
Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be available to work a variable schedule that will include holidays, evening shifts, and/or weekends year-round.
• Must be reliable, flexible, and willing to work in a team setting.
• Must demonstrate an ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other staff and park patrons in a responsible and courteous manner under stressful conditions.
• Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently in a highly responsible manner.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs and emergencies.
