Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.


Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, Deputy Digital Officer will be responsible for driving the development and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of user-centered digital services to the public. The Deputy Digital Officer will provide strategic guidance, oversee key projects, and build strong partnerships across various departments and agencies to advance the state's digital agenda. Duties include the following:

· Oversee the design, development, and delivery of user-centered digital products and online services, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience.
· Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and digital-era best practices across the organization.
· Establish and maintain standards for data quality, customer service, and communication across various channels.
· Lead and mentor a team of product owners and other digital professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Collaborate with agency leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital transformation and drive adoption of new technologies and processes.
· Ensure effective collaboration and integration of various systems and methodologies.
· Lead the identification, acquisition, and onboarding of strategic partners and IT vendor management teams.
· Monitor and analyze digital trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Minimum Qualifications Eight (8) years of experience leading and managing digital transformation initiatives in a large organization, preferably within the public sector.

Four (4) of which must have been at the management level, with a strong foundational knowledge of digital strategies that align with organizational goals and objective and deep understanding of user-centered design principles and agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with government agencies and understanding of government regulations and policies.
• Experience in developing and implementing data quality monitoring programs.
• Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with other government agencies and organizations.
• Certification in project management or agile methodologies.
