Duties Description The Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 will be assigned to the Human Resources Office. Specific duties include but not limited to.

• Research and develop new opportunities to recruit, retain, and promote a diverse workforce.
• Promote employment opportunities at job fairs and college visits, along with participating at the NY State Fair.
• Develop relevant programming and communications to enhance employees’ cultural awareness.
• Analyze data related to agency diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity programs, which includes reviewing all hiring packages.
• Gather and prepare necessary documents for new employee orientation and assist with on boarding presentations.
• Assist with Student Assistant recruitment and outreach.
• Oversee I9 work authorization tracking and maintain updated documentation needed.

Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: six years of experience* in equal opportunity, diversity and
inclusion, or human rights.
