Duties Description New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI) is currently recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst 1 who will assist with data collection systems, help develop policies and procedures, and assist in ensuring compliance with research processes and systems. Candidates from within State Service can apply.

As a Business Systems Analyst 1, you will:
• Develop and configure data integration solutions
• Develop shared solutions for supported data management services
• Provide data systems support

Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Business Systems Analyst 1 if they have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of professional human resources experience.

Substitution: Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience.

OR

Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Business Systems Analyst Trainee 1 if they have a bachelor’s degree.

To be advanced to the full performance level, Business Systems Analyst 1 you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.

OR

Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Business Systems Analyst Trainee 2 if they have a bachelor’s degree and 1 year of professional human resources experience.

Substitution: Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience.

To be advanced to the full performance level, Business Systems Analyst 1, you must successfully complete a 1 year of the traineeship.

OR

Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on a current Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) eligible list. Appointment from this eligible list would be as a Business Systems Analyst Trainee 1 and to be advanced to the full performance level, Business Systems Analyst 1, you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.

OR

Candidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT) eligible list. Appointment from this eligible list would be as a Business Systems Analyst Trainee 1 and to be advanced to the full performance level, Business Systems Analyst 1, you must successfully complete a 2 year traineeship.

OR

Candidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

This position is eligible for a Down State adjustment of $4,000.

Salary range listed encompasses the hiring rate of a Business Systems Analyst 1/Trainee (SG-NS) through the job rate of a Business Systems Analyst 1 (SG-18).
