Duties Description The SUNY Geneseo Facilities Department is looking for a reliable and dedicated individual to join their team as a Maintenance Assistant.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for assisting the Lock shop in maintaining campus security with a variety of locksmith tasks. These tasks include:
-maintaining and replacing lock & keying system
-cutting keys
-installing, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining electronic door locking devices
-following troubleshooting procedures for identifying defects

Minimum Qualifications Two years of full-time experience in locksmith work under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson; OR completion of a two-year technical school course in locksmithing at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services*; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of appropriate technical courses in locksmithing at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.

When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
