Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience requirements for this class. Applicants must be physically able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State Driver's License appropriate for the type of vehicle operated.

Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of Reserve America, ORMS, LATS and strong computer skills. Prior experience working in a NYS Campground, Park and/or day use area. Good personal skills dealing with the public.


Duties Description Assist in daily operation of a medium size (126 site) NYS campground and day use area, work undefined hours ensuring continued operation of park. Must work weekends/holidays through the summer unless otherwise excused. Able to respond to emergencies if the CRFS is not present day or night. Assist in management of facility and supervision of all employees. Working knowledge of campground and the DEC policy manual. Good communication skills with personnel and the public. Must be able to spend 2 nights in the absence of CRFS and manage the facility in a professional manner. Strong working knowledge of all computer programs associated with the NYSDEC parks.
