Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Must possess one year of practical experience in performing general construction or maintenance tasks. Must have and maintain a valid NYS drivers license appropriate for the type of vehicle operated. Actual work hours will be discussed at interview.
Must be available for weekends and holidays. Must be able to traverse rough terrain, work in remote locations and if necessary in extreme weather conditions, climb ladders & work in and around the water.

Duties Description Must be willing and able to do manual work in the park such as, but not limited to, lifting trash cans chest high, using rakes and shovels, able to operate push lawnmowers, leaf blowers and grass trimmers. Must be willing to clean restroom facilities and assist and manage operation of recycle stations within the campground in accordance with state, county and town laws. Must be able to work along with a construction crew as a team leader under the direction of the Operations Supervisor II, providing clear and understandable directions to construction crews. Will be responsible for the oversight of construction projects, including the compiling of materials lists and equipment necessary for the safe and timely completion of varying projects, including construction, repair and maintenance of state facilities. Will need to communicate using proper radio etiquette.

Additional Comments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Able to safely pilot a boat on Lake George including at night and during inclement weather. Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Lake George including locating state owned campsite islands, day use areas and navigational markers. Practical knowledge of proper construction techniques and applicable building codes preferred. Experience in masonry, cabinet making and trim carpentry, framing, tile, wall board finishing.
This position has a duration from asap through 3/31/16.
