Duties Description Duties for this role:
*Collaborate closely with the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) to support audit activities by vetting data through the MDW and utilizing Draft Audit Report (DAR) and Final Audit Report (FAR) procedures.

*Verify and validate all contractor-submitted data for accuracy and completeness.

• Review and vet claims prior to the issuance of each DAR/FAR to prevent intra-agency duplication of efforts.

• Assist in creating and assembling DAR/FAR attachments.

*• Review provider responses for each DAR/FAR and enter relevant information into OMIG’s data management tracking systems, updating audit records as needed.

• Analyze OSC audits and prepare related reports.

• Create and maintain provider management tracking systems.

• Support monthly data feeds and meet ongoing reporting requirements for audits and contractor activities.

• Work with the Office of Counsel on document preparation and hearing-related needs.

• Produce ad-hoc reports to support management decision-making.

• Utilize Access, Excel, and SQL Developer to analyze and verify claim data in monthly data feeds, OMIG projects, and contractor audits.

• Assist in maintaining and updating the RAC SharePoint site.

Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with data, reports, or audit-related documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing information.
• Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and summarize findings clearly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to support multiple assignments.


***Non-Competitive Minimum Qualifications for appointment under the NY HELPS Program:

Either 1. A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by nine semester credit hours in biostatistics, data analysis, data modeling, economics, econometrics, mathematics*, research methods, or statistics AND two years of professional research experience performing the collection, manipulation (e.g., data construction, merging data files, data cleaning, working with data files containing different levels of data) and evaluation of quantitative data directed toward review, analysis, and presentation related to program operations

OR

2. A master's degree or higher including or supplemented by nine semester credit hours in biostatistics, data analysis, data modeling, economics, econometrics, mathematics*, research methods, or statistics AND one year of professional research experience performing the collection, manipulation (e.g., data construction, merging data files, data cleaning, working with data files containing different levels of data) and evaluation of quantitative data directed toward review, analysis, and presentation related to program operations.

*For the purposes of this examination qualifying mathematics courses will include actuarial science, finance, and mathematics.

•Substitution for ALL Titles: J.D. or master's degree may substitute for one year of the experience; a doctoral degree may substitute for two years of the experience.


*Professional research experience cannot be part of your degree requirements. You must clearly demonstrate how you meet the supplemental coursework and degree requirements for this examination. Include the name of the college or university, course title, date received, and number of semester credits received per course in the "coursework" section of the online application. Experience limited to general, non-professional research tasks (for example, legal citation research, bibliographical research, or incidental research functions as part of a non-research job) will NOT be considered qualifying.
