Duties Description • This DA 3 will be the supervisor of site directors at 4 assigned IRAs (DA1, DA2s, TSS staff) to ensure staffing levels and patterns at assigned sites, as well as, supervisory practices in place;
• Ensures that houses are well maintained, clean and free of hazards;
• Ensures that staff are trained and knowledgeable regarding policies and procedures;
• Ensures that staff action plans and safeguard summary plans are implemented and billing documentation is completed;
• Will provide oversight to ensure that direct care staff performs all assigned tasks during their shift, including utilization of the EHR;
• Will provide oversight to ensure behavior support plans are implemented, as written;
• Ensures community activities occur in accordance with mandates, in terms of frequency and type;
• Will ensure that the house managers submit their weekly schedules, 28 day schedules, procurement logs to monitor purchases, van logs monthly and that time sheets are submitted bi-monthly in a timely manner;
• Fully support ongoing implementation of site BMP plans and individual residential habilitation plans and co-develops, co-trains and monitors individual residential habilitation plans for assigned individuals; co-develops and co-trains and monitors SSP’s for all assigned individuals;
• Provides guidance and direction to DA 1s, DA 2s at assigned IRAs ensuring direct care and supervisory staff input into any action-plans needed and consistent follow through by staff;
• Conducts money audits with the cash managers on a monthly basis;
• Other duties as assigned
NOTE: Travel within the five-county catchment area will be required in the performance of the duties of the position and a valid driver’s license is required. This may include a state-owned vehicle, as available, or the employee’s own car. An employee who uses his/her own car will be reimbursed at current negotiated rates.

Minimum Qualifications Promotion:
One year of service as a Developmental Assistant 2 and reachable on the current Civil Service list.
Transfer:
Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive, non-competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1, 70.4, or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.

Additional Comments • Please note that starting salary for this title reflects the increased hiring salary, Mid-Hudson adjustment and geographic pay differential. Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for CSEA Grade 17 ($66,690), Increased Hiring Salary ($7,980), Mid-Hudson Adjustment ($2,000) and Geographic Pay Differential ($6,000). Mid-Hudson Adjustment and Geographic Pay Differential are added to the job rate ($80,655).

• For CSEA positions: Local Bidding Agreements will be honored.

• All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
