Salary RangeFrom $45455 to $58028 Annually
Duties Description Treatment caseload mandatory record, individual counseling, small group therapy, conduct didactic lectures, large group discussions, attend module/community meetings, supervise audit/visual presentation, case conference, develop learning experiences, behavioral contracts, mandatory weekly activities, provide direct substance abuse treatment services to include the determination of disorder, develop appropriate participation-centered treatment plan for each inmate.
Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current New York State certification as a CASAC or three years of qualifying experience, an Associate's in Psychology, counseling, sociology Social Science, Social Work, Alcoholism, Substance Abuse, Criminal Justice, Correctional Studies, Addictions Studies, Human Services, Community Health or related field may be substituted for two years.
Qualfying experience - Professional/paraprofessional experience in recognized program whose primary mission is alcohol and/or substance abuse treatment (hospital/correctional facility/school/community based prevention/intervention program or other addiction recover program). Experience must include all of the following: group or individual counseling, intake/assessment, treatment planning, case work, consultation and the development of substance abuse disorder diagnostic impression. Counseling/casework experience must have focused primarily on establishment of an on-going, one-to-one relationship to establish and maintain recovery and prevent relapse. Group experience must have forced on responsibility for conducing group sessions designed to provide participants with services for alcohol/substance abuse problems.
