Duties Description Candidate must have dependable transportation and be able to work assigned shifts. They must be punctual and report work on time. Shift work may be required. They will have a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. They should expect to work all weekends and holidays during period of employment. Must be able, where applicable, to do manual work in park such as picking up litter, raking, pushing lawnmowers, digging ditches, climbing roofs to sweep pine needles and leaves, and cleaning comfort stations, rest rooms and buildings. Extra physical work may be required such as aiding in removing brush and or firewood. Candidate must be willing and able to clean toilets the majority of time while employed. Must be able to communicate with others and accept direction. All tasks are to be conducted in a safe manner, with any injuries/illnesses reported immediately to supervisor. Must wear appropriate attire, including work shoes, no sneakers. Issued clothing must be kept clean and worn regularly. Must be capable of communicating with the public. They must provide patrons with information regarding park facilities and use. They will handle complaints or inquiries from park patrons regarding the quality of their experience, the cleanliness of facilities, noise from other facility users, and other related customer service issues.
If assigned to booth: Must be able to handle and account for money and complete necessary Revenue Reports. Must be capable of operating a personal computer. Must be capable of communicating with the public and others. Must be able to accept direction readily, and perform shift work.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. Preference may be given to candidates 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
Additional Comments This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 9/9/2026. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Weekends and holidays may be required.
