Duties Description This position is located in the Public Health Continuing Education Unit within the Division of Public Health Infrastructure. This position is responsible for providing program-level support to the Learning Management Group to support New Yorker's use of the NYLearnsPH.com Learning Management System (LMS) through delivery of technical assistance, maintenance of electronic training records, and creation of tools to support use of the LMS.
Program Support - Working under the direction of the Learning Management Director, the incumbent will be trained to provide technical assistance and support to users of New York State Department of Health’s Learning Management Systems (LMS). They will assist with the preparation of draft language, job aides and presentations, and assist with the maintenance of policy and procedure documents to support learning management.
Administrative Support – The incumbent will conduct ongoing certificate review and confirmation to mark course completion status, provide technical assistance to system users, and contribute to monthly distance learning newsletters. This position assists with the maintenance of the groups Teams channel. preparation of meeting agendas and maintenance of meeting records and follow-up items.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of Fall 2026 matriculation and enrollment in the Fall semester must be submitted with your resume.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent tasks or projects under tight timelines
• Experience researching, collecting, and analyzing information to prepare written reports, memoranda, presentations, or briefing documents
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and SharePoint, including document version control
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to proofread and format technical documents
• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information
• Ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external partners.

Additional Comments Temporary, part-time, non-competitive. Salary determined by academic level. 20 hours per week during the academic year is required, schedule is flexible. Must maintain matriculated student status to retain employment.
Telecommuting is permissible up to 50% of working hours based on operational needs and at the discretion of the assigned Program area.
