Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.
Under the direction of a senior program manager, the IES ETL Developer will be assigned to the Integrated Eligibility System (IES) within the Office of Information Technology Services (IES) and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions. The incumbent will employ expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data pipeline optimization, along with a solid understanding of database systems and data modeling.
Duties include, but are not, limited to the following:
• Design, develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines for large datasets. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse architectures and data models.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement data quality checks and validation processes.
• Document ETL processes, workflows, and data mappings.
• Monitor ETL jobs and ensure timely data delivery.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging data technologies.
Minimum Qualifications Four (4) years of experience in ETL development including Databricks, Informatica, or ETL tools, experience in data engineering, or any data migration project as well as proficiency in programming/scripting.
Bachelor’s Degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
Master’s Degree may substitute for 3 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in SQL and relational databases (i.e., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and implementation.
• Strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and migration techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (i.e., AWS Redshift, Azure Data Factory, Google BigQuery).
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks and methods.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
