Duties Description The Website and Intranet Manager oversees the development and execution of the digital communications strategy for the website, intranet, and internal communications.
• Execute integrated digital strategies for public website and intranet. Suggest KPIs and report on performance to executive staff.
• Evaluate and recommend new digital communication tools and platforms to enhance agency presence and internal communication.
• Enforce agency-wide standards for digital content (plain language, accessibility, branding, AI) and manage content strategy/policy for all digital platforms.
• Advise on internal communications and oversee execution.
• Act as the primary liaison with executive staff and program areas. Foster strong collaboration across internal teams while supporting organizational goals.
• Communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Coach staff on effective audience engagement across digital channels.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills, foster professional growth, and build a high-performing digital communications team.
Minimum Qualifications The DOL Communications team is looking for a highly creative individual, who thrives in a collaborative team environment. We're looking for an exceptional Website and Intranet Manager (Project Coordinator) to inspire and direct our talented teams responsible for some of our most impactful and visible work. This role is for a strategic leader who can foster collaboration, ensure flawless execution, and enhance our website and internal communications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Eight (8) years of experience* in public relations, social media and digital communications, one (1) year of the experience must have been at the supervisory level.**
*Substitution: Associate degree may substitute for two years of specialized experience; bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of specialized experience; master's degree may substitute for five years of specialized experience; J.D. may substitute for six years of specialized experience; Ph.D. may substitute for seven years of specialized experience.
**Degree cannot substitute for the one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Eight (8) years of experience in internal and/or external digital communications, and website management.
Five (5) years of relevant program management experience or supervision of professional staff.
Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders
Preferred Degree Concentrations/Major:
Communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or a similar degree
Additional Comments Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
