Minimum Qualifications The minimum qualifications are as follows:

• Must be a US Citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be currently attending a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State.
• Senior Level Student

Preferred qualifications:
• Graduate Student.
• Major in Information Technology.
• Programming skills in Java, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Development skills in Spring,l OSGI, hibernate, Jersey, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Sencha Touch and Ionic frameworks.
• Database knowledge in Oracle and MongoDB
• Knowledge in REST and SOAP web services
• Excellent written/verbal communication
• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year College or University (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students); or a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program.
• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or equivalent to a C.

Duties Description The primary responsibilities of the Office Assistant 1, SG-6 include, but are not limited to, the following:

• View, accept, and close tickets in a reasonable timeframe in the NYS IT Service Management System (ITSM) User Services queue
• Assist with purchasing of endpoint devices and reconciling invoices
• Work with outside vendors and State contracts to gather quotes
• Work with asset management team updating and maintaining our enterprise inventory system
• Assist in administrative support activities including filing and answering phones

Additional Comments This Office of Information Technology Services position will be assigned to work within theITS Business Solutions in the Health Cluster.
