Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree AND six years of progressively responsible financial experience involving the collection and review of claims reserves, and paid loss and incurred data. Two years of the required experience must include reviewing the financial stability or financial stress of private corporations.

Duties Description The Project Coordinator will play a lead role in the transition of the financial processing and accounting functions related Special Funds from the legacy FMIS application to the Statewide Financial System (SFS). Duties include, but are not limited to: Serving as technical expert regarding implementation of General Ledger (GL) and Commitment Control (KK) functions for the Special Funds in SFS; acting as single point of communication with SFS regarding GL and KK functions; providing input on customization of related training materials as needed, participate in development user acceptance test scripts and lead user acceptance testing of SFS functionality; supervising and providing guidance to project staff responsible for the implementation of the Accounts Payable (AP) and Billing/Accounts Receivable (BIIAR) functions for the Special Funds in SFS; providing technical expertise regarding accounting requirements related to AP and BIIAR functions to ensure they are properly addressed in the requirements articulated to the SFS team for those functions; coordinating and leading meetings with Financial Administration staff to understand current reporting practices and requirements across all of the Special Funds; researching and documenting legal requirements and best practices for financial reporting that can be applied across all of the Special Funds; developing and documenting reporting requirements in order to obtain consensus from Financial Administration staff and approval from management before articulating requirements to SFS team; providing input on customization of training materials as needed, participating in development user acceptance test scripts and leading user acceptance testing of SFS functionality; acting as single point of communication with SFS regarding reporting functions; overseeing efforts to identify project issues, researching all aspects of these issues in order to develop and document solutions and gain consensus from Financial Administration staff and approval from management; providing regular status updates to Special Funds Program Manager and working with assigned Project Manager to maintain scope, schedule and other project documentation as needed.

Additional Comments This position is equated to salary grade 27.
