Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

You must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or one recognized by the New York State Education Department as following acceptable education practices.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: As a Labor Services Representative, you will focus on UI Integrity operations and performance improvement. The incumbent will assist in various programs as necessary to ensure the integrity and enhance the efficiency of the Unemployment Insurance operations with particular focus on preventing, detecting and deterring fraudulent unemployment insurance transactions. You would adjudicate certain cases handled by the Department’s Unemployment Insurance Integrity Unit. This work includes but is not limited to the new hire cross match process, attempting to certify while outside the country, recidivism prevention, and other improper payment initiatives and projects. You will interview and elicit information from customers, examine claims issues and make determinations to resolve complex or unusual problems related to eligibility for Unemployment Insurance benefits.
