Minimum Qualifications 30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.
Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
Duties Description Candidate will assist with spruce grouse surveys, capture, banding, and radio telemetry throughout the Adirondacks. Experience with map and compass, orienteering, and radio telemetry required. Grouse surveys will require working in remote locations during inclement weather conditions and extreme temperatures. Experience operating ATVs and snowmobiles is necessary. Must be able to hike in buggy hot weather and snowshoe through deep snows for extended periods. Good interpersonal skills are also required. Must be able to work well in a group and be comfortable working in alone in remote locations. Must be willing to camp for 10-day stretches in remote locations in July and August during spruce grouse captures in Maine and Ontario. Passport will be required by travel dates.

This is a temporary seasonal hourly appointment ending no later than 11/30/17. Program needs will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to 11/30/17.
