Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled tradesman or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course. Candidates are expected to be qualified to use negative
pressure respirators. Valid NYS Driver’s license required.
Duties Description Title: Maintenance Assistant (Carpentry Shop), Hourly / Temp
Location: Facilities / CARPENTRY SHOP
Salary: $12 - $18 per hour
Grade: NS
Hours: various / 40 hours / to be determined at interview
Duration: Temporary Hourly Approx 3-4 Months
Ability to perform physical tasks including carrying ladders and materials; working from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts; removing / installing flooring, ceilings, windows, walls and doors; ability to safely operate stationary power tools, table saw, wet saw, multiple hand power tools; plan and complete assignments with independence, ability to work overtime as required.
