Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable for appointment from the appropriate Civil Service list for this title – appointment made at the Children & Family Services Specialist Traineeship level.

Transfer Opportunity:
One year of permanent competitive service as a Children & Family Services Specialist 1; OR
One year of permanent competitive service of 55 b/c service in a title eligible for transfer under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law;

Eligible for Section 70.4 Transfer*
*70.4 Transfer: If you are a State employee with at least one year of permanent competitive service in a title Grade 11 or higher and have a passing score on the PCO list, you may be eligible for appointment to a traineeship leading to the Grade 18.
Duties Description Within the Office of Community Partnerships, in the Bureau of Classification and Movement, incumbent’s responsibilities may include but not be limited to: monitoring admissions and releases from OCFS facilities (Secure, Limited Secure and Non-Secure) and Voluntary Agencies; maintaining facility rosters; reviewing intake material; determining release eligibility, level of supervision; reviewing movement requests, fenners, time allowance and Facility Director Proceedings; it may also include data collection and data entry for admissions, permanency and parole board.
