Duties Description As a Treatment Team Leader Mental Hygiene, you will have program and administrative responsibility for the treatment activities of an interdisciplinary treatment team and will direct and coordinate a total program tailored to the individual needs of clients. You will be responsible for: assigning team resources to accomplish goals; evaluating team programs; supervising the maintenance of medical and other records and files pertinent to the treatment and care of patients; participating in planning and program development to influence treatment and therapeutic programs; serving on committees such as placement, utilization review, and medical records review; and preparing periodic performance evaluations of subordinates.

If you are appointed and you lose the ability to bill through Medicaid and Medicare, you may be terminated from your employment.
Minimum Qualifications Open to qualified employees of New York State:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment from the current Civil Service eligible list for the title;
OR
Transfer Opportunity – Candidates must have permanent status as a Treatment Team Leader Mental Health M-1 and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Sections 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. To be eligible for transfer under Sections 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in a title approved for transfer by the Department of Civil Service within two salary grades or one M-grade of the M-1 level.

In the event there is no viable Civil Service list, a provisional appointment may be made. You must be a qualified employee of the New York State Office of Mental Health and have had one year permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in one of the titles listed below:

Candidates appointed provisionally must take the next scheduled Civil Service examination for this title, and their score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before they can be permanently appointed.
