Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of progressive experience in operations management, five (5) years of which must have been at a management level. An MBA can substitute for up to three (3) years of the required general experience.
Preferred qualifications:
• Previous experience in an Administrative Office with demonstrated leadership skills.
• A solid understanding of business functions and related laws and regulations (real estate, finance/budget, human resources, etc.).
• Proficient in MS Office and utilizing databases.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience as a forward-thinking and strategic partner of a large organization.
Duties Description Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of Administration will provide the overall administration of the agency’s general administrative, space planning, facilities management, background investigation, and health and safety units. The incumbent will be responsible for adding to the agency’s strategic vision, policy development, and ensuring the day-to-day functions of the department.
Specific duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Collaborate with the executive team to inform ITS’ business and strategic planning and develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Organize and coordinate departmental operations; define objectives and priorities for departments and managers.
• Oversee resource allocation, agency procurement, and budgeting.
• Oversee agency onboarding activities from a space allocation perspective.
• Manage, coordinate and strategize on all space, fleet and facility operations plans for the agency.
• Oversee and administer the agency telecommuting program.
• Oversee and manage ITS Parking Coordination.
• Coordinate and oversee ITS Facility management.
• Perform and oversee special administrative projects, as requested.
• Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities, as applicable.
