Duties Description Under the direction of a higher-lever supervisor, the candidate will perform administrative and technical task for the Office of Right of Way. The Program Aide will assist staff with program activities at a para-professional level that includes, but is not limited to:

• Handle paperwork and processing associated with Appraisal, Acquisitions, Property Management and the Capital Program;
• Review and process payment of invoices, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, payment vouchers, etc.;
• Prepare routine correspondence;
• Answer the main telephone line, transfer calls, take messages;
• Schedule meetings, maintain meetings calendar, attend meetings, generate minutes;
• Prepare outgoing office mail and deliver to the mailroom;
• Open, sort, stamp and distribute incoming mail in accordance with staff assignments;
• Review outgoing correspondence for proper grammatical usage and clarity. Insure that appropriate background material is attached;
• Generate reports and spreadsheets;
• Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel;
• Maintain various office filing systems (including electronic);
• Maintain the office supply inventory;
• Input information into various databases;
• Be the initial point of contact for visitors;
• Some field work may be required.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
