Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.

Under the direction of the Director of Administration, NS, the Project Manager 3 will manage the administrative projects (i.e., projects, and will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure efficiencies throughout the Office of Administration and other related program areas. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Identifies and evaluates office procedures to determine areas for improvement; documents processes, develops step-by-step workflows, and recommends efficiencies. Coordinates related meetings and communications as required.
• Coordinates small- to medium-scale projects for the Office of Administration and assigned program areas; assists in planning, organizing, monitoring, and guiding projects from initiation through completion.
• Provides operational support by assisting with daily tasks to ensure ITS staff have the necessary resources, information, and materials to perform their duties effectively.
• Serves as a liaison to executive and management staff to support priority initiatives; gathers information, prepares updates, and assists in advancing project objectives.
• Coordinate weekly SLMS enrollment requests to OGS Workforce Development Office for Contractor SLMS Enrollment.
• Coordinate with ITS Communications Office on agencywide communications and Inside Edge content.
• Manage multiple Administration mailboxes and respond to inquiries, escalating high priority issues as needed.
• Administer the performance evaluation program for staff and arrange for the completion of staff probationary review and reports.
• Performs other related duties, including a full range of supervisory duties, to meet organizational needs and support project and administrative functions.

Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as Project Manager 2, SG23, (previously known as Project Manager 1, SG23) OR in a position at the SG-21 level or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades.
