Duties Description Under the direction of the Park Manager and the Office Manager, the Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the operations of the office and camping operations. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Answer telephone calls and assist customers with questions and inquiries.
• Perform general computer and office functions.
• Register campers and assist with campsite reservations.
• Collect and process vehicle entrance fees.
• Issue park permits and other required documentation.
• Maintain an organized and efficient office environmen.t
• Perform general cleaning and bathroom maintenance.
• Deliver firewood to campsites.
• Assist with event set up, operation, and cleanup.
• Additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.

Additional Comments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with general office operations preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to perform light to moderate physical labor.
• Must have the ability to follow directions and communicate with staff, public, and respond to patrons' concerns or complaints in an effective and positive manner.
BENEFITS:
This position has the option to join the NYS Employee’s Retirement System and may be eligible for health insurance, dental and vision coverage as well as the opportunity for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, personal and holiday leave after time and service requirements has been met.
