Minimum Qualifications 52.6 Transfer:
One year of permanent competitive service in a SG-16 and above designated administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
70.1 Transfer to Personnel Administrator Trainee 1:
One year of permanent competitive service as a Head Clerk Personnel, Payroll Examiner 2, Payroll Examiner 3, Principal Clerk Personnel, Purchasing Agent or Purchasing Officer 1.
70.1 Transfer to Personnel Administrator Trainee 2:
One year of permanent competitive service as a Head Clerk Personnel.
70.4 Transfer to Personnel Administrator Trainee 1:
One year of permanent competitive service in a position allocated to SG-11 or higher; possession of a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the New York State Education Department as following acceptable educational practices and have standing on the Professional Careers Test (PCT) eligible list.
Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of personnel activities for OGS and hosted agencies to include, but not be limited to: providing assistance to program managers and supervisors regarding the performance evaluation program (including training of supervisors) and discretionary leave administration; consulting with program managers to compile information, prepare and coordinate submission of Employee Health Service examinations; conducting research related to various assigned special projects including, but not limited to, transfer of function, recruitment and position classification, or for use in development of policy and/or procedures, and coordination and distribution of agency-specific on-boarding documents/policies. The incumbent will also assist with the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act drug testing program and have responsibility for monitoring and resolving technical problems with the timeclock console connected to LATS.
