Duties Description Duties Description:

The Division of Materials Management is filling a Seasonal Office Assistant 1 position to provide administrative support and assistance for the Bureau of Solid Waste Management, Waste Transporter and State Assistance Section.

The incumbent will support various responsibilities of the Waste Transporter and State Assistance Section including, but not limited to:

1. Review of Part 364 and Part 381 Waste Transporter applications for completeness. Contacting applicants to correct omissions or errors in applications.

2. Process and new, renewal and modification applications for permits/registrations.

3. Update transporter information in SWIMS and generate permit/registration. Issue approved permit/registration to applicant.

4. Review and data entry of Part 364 and Part 381 Waste Transporter Annual Reports.

5. Contact transporters to clarify, correct applications/reports.

6. Manage phone calls, fax submitals and emails submitted to the program;

7. Provide technical assistance and information regarding waste transporter regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures to the regulated community and other interested parties.

Additional Comments Telecommuting may be available, will be discussed at interview.

This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2025, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
