Duties Description This position will assist the Bureau of Fisheries Outreach and Education Unit in clerical and office support work for several programs administered by the Unit, including the New York State Angler Achievement Awards, Free Fishing Clinics, and Fishing Rod Lending Partnership. Duties will include processing and filing applications and documents, performing data entry, maintaining records and files, preparing documents for mailing, keeping an inventory of warehouse supplies, fulfilling materials for shipment, preparing Adobe documents to meet website accessibility standards, and assisting in other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title.
Preferred-
Detail oriented and have excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to get tasks completed in a thorough and organized manner. Proficient in general office and business software programs, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel).
Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
Telecommuting may be available, will be discussed at interview.
